RXHK Continues It's Success in Pipeline Compressor Drives

Using a common technology platform with it's STATCOM and VSC HVDC product lines RXHK's outstanding high power MV Drives have been recognised again for their quality and value by China National Petroleum Company (CNPC). Building on a relationship that started in 2012 CNPC have already this year ordered:

• 4 sets of 10kV 17MVA drives
• 4 sets of 10kV 18.5MVA drives and
• 3 sets of 10kV 25MVA drives

In this latest set of orders CNPC have chosen to order drive units that also can supply reactive power, combining STATCOM capability with motive power delivery. Such combined functionality provides key benefits for compressor stations that are located in remote locations, allowing additional power to be transmitted to the compressor station along long feeder lines.

These latest orders bring the total RXHK drives fleet ordered by CNPC to 44 sets with a combined power of 839MVA.

RXHK's MV drive solution, generally rated at 5MVA or larger, has been applied in multiple long distance pipeline compressor stations and also in

• LNG terminals
• Petrochemical plants
• Wind tunnels
